Malayalam Communications Ltd. signed an agreement with Emirates Cable TV and multimedia (E-vision) to air its Satellite channel ‘People’ in e-vision’s digital network.
Launching ceremony held at Grand Hyatt, on 18 January 2007 Duvai and was attended by the Chairman, MCL and South Indian super star Mammootty, and Humiad Rashid Sahoo, CEO of E-vision. Kairali TV is already available in e-vision. “Kairali and People”, as they have tremendous influence on the Malayalee diaspora in the middle east. MCL’s channels all widely accepted and recognized here. Mammootty said. He announced the launch MCL’s of new channel “ We”, a channel caters the youth reciprocating their visual and aesthetic aspirations. The channel will be launched on April 15. Commenting on the agreement Sahoo said “ This addition is a part of E-vision Commitments to all its customers and it reflects our determination to provide new channels”.
John Brittas, MD,MCL, said that the MCL channels have always been in the forefront to show the contents of expatriates life in the Middle east and the channels would continue to telecast programmes which bridge the culture of Arabia and Kerala.
